Author's Word

have always been an avid reader, but not a writer, yet, from mid-1994 to mid-1998, after immersing myself in the Bahá’í Writings for two years, the thoughts prose and poetic narratives presented on these web pages poured in a rushing stream from my mind, my heart, and through pen onto paper.

Then in mid-1998, whatever inspired this outpouring dried up as abruptly as it had begun. It seemed that I literally had nothing more to say, until the past few months (2010) when the stream welled up once again.

I have recently revisited my earlier writings and present them to you here.  And, with the stream of writing suddenly flowing again, I have supplemented the original works with brief sketches of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith - the Báb, Bahá’u’lláh, Abdu'l-Bahá, and Shoghi Effendi.

For those who may be interested, you will find portions of my life’s journey in “In Search of a Personal God;” and, under the section “By His Kingdom Graced”, in the fictionalized poetic narrative “Only Four,” and in “Tell Me a Story” in the part under “The Little Girl and the Snake” – a true episode in my life.

On the lighter side, you will find “Just for Fun,” and a novella: High Country Quest: - The Remarkable Adventures of Justin Ryder.

My journey continues, and my trust in Bahá'u'lláh and the Bahá'í Faith grows stronger as the years pass.  May you find the same strength and joy in its spiritual wisdom on your journey, too.

Because of the personal nature of some of the writings included on this website, I have chosen to remain anonymous to protect my privacy and that of my family.

This said, it is my sincere hope that you will find thoughts and ideas on this website that will be spiritually meaningful to you.
